Flametect Nitro D is a water and UV resistant fire retardant spray for outdoor textiles. Unlike standard indoor fabric treatments, it is formulated to withstand weathering, making it suitable for tents, marquees, yurts and other structures exposed to rain and sunlight. Water-based, non-toxic and BS 7837 certified. UK manufactured.

Why Treat Outdoor Textiles
Tents, marquees and event canvas are often used in close proximity to open flame sources such as cooking equipment, heaters and campfires. Flametect Nitro D disrupts the burning process on contact with heat, releasing extinguishing gases and forming a flame-retardant carbon barrier that limits flame spread across the fabric surface. Because it is water and UV resistant, the treatment remains effective through outdoor exposure to weather, unlike standard indoor fire retardant sprays.
Certifications & Performance
Tested to BS 7837 and BS 5438. Water-based, non-toxic, non-hazardous and non-allergenic. Treats up to 10 sq. metres per litre. Suitable for spray, roller or immersion application. Effective on natural, natural/synthetic blends and most synthetic textiles.
