Flametect CWD+ is an easy to apply clear flame-retardant treatment for interior and exterior wood surfaces, including cladding, decking, log cabins, sheds, timber structures and partitions. The advanced water-based, VOC-free formula provides long-lasting fire protection while preserving the natural appearance and texture of the wood. Easy to apply yet trusted by professionals, Flametect CWD+ delivers high-performance fire safety for both domestic and commercial environments.

Developed and manufactured in the UK by Eco-Sol Ltd in partnership with a Queen’s Award-winning chemical manufacturer, Flametect CWD+ is built on over two decades of fire-protection innovation. Limitations

Flametect CWD+ is not suitable for:

  • Previously painted or varnished surfaces
  • Plywood, cork, or laminated boards
  • Upgrading standard doors to certified fire doors
  • Achieving BS 476 Part 21 or 22 (30/60 minute fire resistance)

Application Guidance

  • Apply 250ml per m² to achieve full fire-protection rating.
  • Ensure wood is dry (below 20% moisture content) before use.
  • Typical absorption for wood & MDF: 4 m² per litre.
  • Apply 1x 250ml or  2 x 125ml (per square metre)
  • Allow 1 hour between coats if more than one coat is required.
  • For exterior applications: protect from the elements and allow to dry for 24–48 hours.
  • Do not store below 10°C.
  • Shelf life: use within 90 days of purchase.

  • Euroclass EN 13501-1: B-s1, d0 (Ask for clarification)

Tested by Warrington Fire, BTTG, UL (Underwriters Laboratory) and Emirates Safety Laboratory. Certification & Statement of Performance supplied with every order (UKAS-traceable).
