White fire protection coating for interior wood

HENSOTHERM 2 KS INNEN white is an intumescent fire protection coating for interior wooden structures, applied like a normal paint by brush, roller or sprayer.

Fire behaviour is classified B-s1, d0 according to DIN EN 13501 (SBI test), classification report KB-Hoch-230561.

How to Apply

Simple application with standard tools — no specialist equipment required.

    Prepare the surface for HENSOTHERM 2 KS INNEN white
    The surface must be free of dust, grease, wax, release agents, glue, lime and oil. Remove old coatings completely.

    Check conditions for HENSOTHERM 2 KS INNEN white
    Temperature above +10°C and relative humidity below 80% during application and drying. The dew point must not be reached. Wood moisture content below 15%.

    Prepare a sample area for HENSOTHERM 2 KS INNEN white
    Test a sample area before application.

    Prime before HENSOTHERM 2 KS INNEN white
    HOLZGRUND AQ or HOLZGRUND SB improves adhesion and appearance.

    Apply HENSOTHERM 2 KS INNEN white
    Stir thoroughly and do not thin. Apply 350 g/m² (approx. 245 µm wet) in one operation by brush or roller (short pile lambswool roller recommended), or airless spray at approx. 200 bar, output above 4 l/min, nozzle 0.011 to 0.019 inch, with all filters removed.

    Allow HENSOTHERM 2 KS INNEN white to dry
    Fully dry after approx. 48 hours at approx. +20°C and 65% relative humidity.
