HENSOMASTIK B 3000 is applied over a primer of BETON-CARBONSPERRE (available separately). The primer must be fully dry before HENSOMASTIK B 3000 is applied.
Weatherproof fire protection for concrete
HENSOMASTIK B 3000 is a water-based fire protection coating that increases the fire resistance of concrete and reinforced concrete members by up to 120 minutes. It is water-pressure resistant and weatherproof in accordance with DIN 1048, and is designed for indoor and outdoor use, including areas with high emission loads such as underground and multi-storey car parks.
It delays heat build-up in the concrete and prevents the concrete from spalling, while adding very little load to the structure and no loss of headroom.

How to Apply
Simple application with standard tools — no specialist equipment required.

1Prepare concrete for HENSOMASTIK B 3000The surface must be rough and free of dust, oil, grease, efflorescence and cement laitance. Concrete dry per ASTM D 4263 and/or residual moisture max. 4% (CM method).

2Prime before HENSOMASTIK B 3000Apply BETON-CARBONSPERRE primer and let it dry fully before applying HENSOMASTIK B 3000.

3Check conditions for HENSOMASTIK B 3000Air temperature at least +10°C, relative humidity below 80%, surface at least 5°C above dew point and always above 0°C. Ventilation and extraction are mandatory.

4Apply HENSOMASTIK B 3000Stir with a slow agitator. Airless spray with a 0.025 to 0.031 inch nozzle at 200 to 250 bar, output above 5.5 l/min, with intake hose and filters removed. Max. 1,500 µm wet film per pass. Thin with max. 5% water only if necessary.

5Allow HENSOMASTIK B 3000 to dryAt +20°C and 65% relative humidity (1.0 mm dry film): dust dry approx. 6 hours, recoatable approx. 12 hours, fully dry approx. 48 hours.

6Top coat HENSOMASTIK B 3000 if requiredHENSOTOP WB can be applied for colour and moisture protection, at least 48 hours after application and after a positive fingernail test.
